How Lean Manufacturing Effects Delivery

ACPlating has continually worked on improving delivery dates to match the demands of Lean manufacturers. Metal finishing being the last step in the manufacturing process before assembly and delivery usually means that all of the built in flex time has been used up. Often the due date is days and sometimes hours away. ACPlating has worked with customers to provide on time deliveries as promised to ensure repeat orders. This is achieved by planning with our customers the correct amount of time to process their parts. Often, not enough preplanning is done to ensure the parts are received in acceptable condition to process as quoted and create delays in delivery. By exposing the root causes and developing methods to prevent problems, ACPlating is able to make on time deliveries repeatedly. This preplanning is reviewed from the shipping, receiving, maintenance plans, process specifications, travelers, and return packaging and shipping to ensure smooth flow of product.

Competing globally is difficult when everyone focuses on price. The quality and delivery issues allow us to stay in business and even prosper in certain must have new industries. ACPlating recognizes this important philosophy and will work with manufacturers to decrease the delivery time to the end user. Working in unison will enable our customers to deliver a quality product faster and allow their sales department to get more market share.
